How Autism Became a Political Battlefield
Autism entered the medical literature in 1943, when Leo Kanner described children he characterized by social withdrawal and insistence on sameness. The TikTok Diagnosis Boom

The Growing Up Online Comparison

Our Process
1. Consultation
Every family begins with a comprehensive consultation designed to better understand developmental, behavioral, educational, and emotional concerns. We review developmental history, current challenges, family goals, school experiences, and any previous evaluations or interventions. This collaborative discussion helps establish priorities and determine the most appropriate next steps for support.
2. Assessment
Our assessment process utilizes evidence-based methods to evaluate developmental, behavioral, cognitive, social-emotional, and functional concerns. Information may be gathered through interviews, behavioral observations, standardized measures, rating scales, record review, and consultation with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals when appropriate. The goal is to develop a thorough understanding of each individual's strengths, needs, and areas for growth.
3. Recommendations
Following the assessment process, families receive individualized recommendations tailored to their specific concerns and goals. Recommendations may include behavioral strategies, parent guidance, educational accommodations, school-based supports, developmental interventions, community resources, and referrals when appropriate. Our focus is on providing practical, actionable guidance that can be implemented across home, school, and community settings.
